Resilient

Rubber flooring offers unmatched durability, shock absorption, and slip resistance. We supply and install rolled rubber and interlocking rubber tile for gyms, commercial kitchens, healthcare facilities, and industrial floors.

How It Works

Substrate preparation is critical — rubber is installed over properly leveled and primed concrete. We roll or lay tiles using flooring-grade adhesive, roll seams tightly, and finish edges with appropriate trim.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a smell after rubber flooring is installed?

Some rubber flooring, especially recycled rubber, has an odour when first installed. It dissipates with ventilation over a few days to a couple of weeks depending on the product and the space. Virgin rubber products have less odour than recycled. We can advise on low-odour options if smell is a concern for your project.

How do you clean and maintain rubber flooring?

Rubber is one of the easiest floors to maintain. Regular sweeping or vacuuming removes debris, and damp mopping with a neutral pH cleaner keeps it looking good. Avoid solvent-based cleaners and petroleum products - they degrade the rubber over time. No waxing or polishing is needed.

How does rubber flooring hold up in a home gym with heavy equipment?

Rubber is purpose-built for exactly this. A proper 3/8" to 3/4" thick rubber floor handles dropped weights, heavy cardio equipment, and high-repetition foot traffic without denting, cracking, or showing wear. Thicker rolls or tiles are better under very heavy equipment like squat racks.

Can rubber flooring be installed directly over concrete?

Yes - rubber is one of the few flooring types that installs well directly over concrete without a moisture barrier in most cases. The concrete still needs to be clean, flat, and dry. For glue-down installations, a primer is applied to the concrete first to ensure a solid bond.
